Therapy sessions last for 50-60 minutes and usually take place at the same time every week, although this can be flexible. It can however be more or less frequent, depending on circumstances.

The number of session can depend on the depth of your problem. There are no hard and fast rules. Some people seek short term work, others prefer longer term; some like to keep it open and decide after an initial few meetings; sometimes a single meeting can clarify an issue one is seeking to gain a perspective on. The frequency of sessions is discussed at the initial, introductory meeting when we consider your circumstances and expectations of therapy and is often part of an ongoing dialogue in our work together.

Fees vary according to the time of day – it costs me less to see you during a weekday, hence it costs you less to come at this time.

I offer some discounts to students or those on lower incomes according to personal circumstances.

I work in the daytime, evening and at the weekend – you will need to get in touch to find out when I have a session available.

Please contact me for fees.

Cancellation policy

If you cancel a session with less than 48 hours notice you will still be expected to pay for the session, although whenever possible I will try to offer an alternative time that suits us both, (please note that this is often not possible).

Appointment time

My private practice is at my home in Highams Park. Please do not come early for your appointment because I do not have a waiting room and may be seeing someone else. If you find that you have arrived early there are several coffee bars 2 minutes walk from my house.
